Evening all,
Would appreciate a little bit of help.
Im looking at buying an escort soon but would like a bit of information first to help me decided.
Im sure this crops up plenty of times but what do people prefer, small or large turbo model?
Is there anything i should look out for when i go to look at them?
Tbh im trading in my car, well hoping to anyways, 300bhp Focus ST, may try to sell but would like a part ex really.
Looking about 13K for one, i no its not a huge lump, but seem to be a few nice ones around for that?
Any info is much appreciated folks
ta Rick

the large turbo model is more sought after as the managment system it has on it is much easier to tune than the st model, iirc the st model is costly and difficult to get over 300bhp tho what it lacks in lag with the tiny t25 turbo makes up for instant power at any rpm.
also one thing to check for now as these are starting to get on a bit is rot, some are starting to rot quite badly these days as not all of them are as cherished as we would think
obviously you get what you pay for 13k should grab you a tidy example but i wouldnt personally expect anything mint or highly/well tuned for that money

cheers guys,
well i wouldnt want a tuned one for that money, just a nice enough one really.
Id be tuning it myself as thats part of the fun
Im only round the corner from motorsport developments in blackpool to if any one uses them.
Sounds like the big turbo model may be the better buy then?
