Strongly gearbox
Hi guys!!
I'm searching a strongly gearbox for my EsCos.....
Very strongly, for drag and heavy duty application....
It will run with a hydraulic triple-plate cerametallic friction and ligher flywheel....
MS95 Motorsport?? Fixit?? Reyland?? R&B Motorsport?? What else??
Many thanks!!!

The Oplligger and Bara gear kits are not suitable for drag racing as they use the standard Ford ratios which are too widely spaced for this kind of use. The speed disparity between the gears is too high, so it allows you to beat the syncros (which once they are burred over, will cause crunching on every change).
For drag racing, you really need a dog box (which allow clutchless up changes). The FFD is good, but at Ł10,650 for just the gearbox (not including any required drop gears or prop), it is a little pricey, especially when you can have the OS Giken kit off Martin (which is fully sequential) for the same kind of money as an MS95.
The Ludde is the bargain of the century by comparison, it is proven in a 9s car in Sweden and about a third of the price of the MS95 once you take into all the extras that this requires.
I have this gear kit in my own car and love it .

The Fixit has better ratios, but again retains the OE syncros, so you can still beat these, so is not really suitable for drag racing.
