Hi mate, there should be a fuse for your fans in the in fuse box
located right in front of your battery,it should be fuse D 50 (AMPS)
check that,hope this helps.

i tried the fuse its ok, there is a relay that fused wire from the battery goes to, but i dont kno if the temp switch on the block switches the relay direct, or the switch is fed back in to the fuse box and then fed out to the relay, and as i cant get wiring diagram from n e where its proving a bit hard

The switch trips the relay, hence switching the fans on the relay has a permanent live and it will be either a switched live or another permanent live (Fans will run without ignition if the latter) the switch would be in the rad or thermostat housing, not in the block, unless something unique to the ST?
The Escos has a two stage switch so not sure how this works I would imagine there is a high speed and a 'Low' speed relay.
I would check the relay and if good the switch must be suspect to test bridge the connections and see if the fans run.

Fan switch is in the bottom of the radiator at the n/s.
Mine went knackered and looked like this.
The positive wiring was also knackered and i had to have a new plug soldered into the loom.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
i think the 2 stage switch turns one fan on at one temp, then kicks the other fan at a higher temp, there are probably 2 positive wires going to the rad switch (im thinking) and then to a relay...., some one told me the rad relay is the big green one behind the battery? i shall have a look tomorrow anyway
