It`s a self adjuster under the pedal, this is made of plastic, and the theeth can get worn. Sometime it helps, to lift the pedal, and pull the plastic half moone down, then you push the pedal a few times. If you hear some click, then it has adjust a bit

It could be, but check that the self adjuster dosen`t have worn theeths. It`s a shit place to work under the pedals

yeah that did the trick, but i think it may have worn teeth because it slipped back to the way it was earlier today
