Default clutch cable adjustment?

hi guys, i have a problem with selecting a gear sometimes, its real hard to push in to gear...only sometimes tho, the clutch was changed about 5000 miles ago, if you push the pedal all the way down and select a gear, you hardly have to lift your foot and it starts to bite, could it be that the cable has stretched? is the an adjustment or would i need to buy a new cable?

its on a 96 st escos thanks

It`s a self adjuster under the pedal, this is made of plastic, and the theeth can get worn. Sometime it helps, to lift the pedal, and pull the plastic half moone down, then you push the pedal a few times. If you hear some click, then it has adjust a bit

It could be, but check that the self adjuster dosen`t have worn theeths. It`s a shit place to work under the pedals
