Default value of 2nd hand AP brakes

laid down a big deposit on a house so need to free up some cash at the moment, someone bid me on the AP's today (have standard calipers & new disks & pads to go on) i'd rather leave them on the car for when its sold but what would people say there worth? AP 6 pot calipers, AP 356mm disks, ferodo ds2500 pads, heat coated black bells, braided hoses & brackets, bolts etc to fit.

edited to add, 8 grooved disks & the kit has covered about 1000 miles from new.

Ah cool, the full race dadies then.

if they are then its an £1900 kit new, if they are the CP7040 then they are about £1600 new.

just depends if thats exactly what youve got.

but it may help people make a sensible offer if they are fully aware of what they cost initially - id have said its got to be a £1200 (ish) sale at worst case scenario as second hand.

Max, i must admit i have quoted the worst case prices.

ive actually got my 378mm floating discs and CP5555's for a lot less than £1900.

1k it is then mate, and fair play with the price you sold at then, gives a good idea what they are worth

I got a quote for the same AP's and they said it was cheaper to get the 362 with 6 pots than the 356 the price was £1359
which I thought was a bargain but I'm not sure if they will fit under my 18" wheels ?

They will go under with ease mate

Where did you get that price from!? Seems pretty good, again what caliper is it? CP5555 (Black with Yellow writing) or the CP7040 (Red with white writing), PM if you prefer

Matt, i'd try and keep the brakes on the car mate, someone will come along

I recon they're worth between £1000 - £1250.

Ap 6 pots rarely sell for less than £1k second hand.

a set didn't sell on ebay not long ago and the buy it now was £800

362 discs and 6 pots for a focus st

but then again, that's ebay for you

£1200 seems about fair, but look at what is being offered and if you think it's an acceptable price then flog them :

if he takes the piss by offering you a tenner then tell hm to jog on
