Driveshaft issues
I got my new engine almost ready to go in but while the front shafts are out i thought i would re-grease them and tidy them up........the grease in the engine side was so thin it was like oil
Anyway when i removed the inner boot the driver side came apart but the other side stayed intact. Are they supposed to be fixed in ??
Btw i have never had and issues with it popping out and the car is lowered

Mark, you can easily put that back together, may take a few fiddly moments tho.
sounds like quite a low compression for the size turbo, but dependant on injectors and mapping then you should be able to run quite a high boost spike to bring the torque in very low down.
did you manage to source a diff plate?

The shafts will go back together no probs Kelv i just wanted to check it was normal before i spruced em up.
I only recently had the turbo rebuilt (its done 40 miles since) so i'll get it upto MSD when its in a running for some new injectors and a live map.
I sourced a plate from Oddkidd Creations mate

they are fine as long as there was a bit of resistance pulling them apart
them 3 round bits on the end of the shaft hold it together inside the cv housing, the spring stops it from popping in too far
if them bearings on the ends come off you are fooked as you'll need to get a new one from somewhere
you can prise the spring out
you can pull the bearings off the ends (circlips i think) and clean them up but they fall apart very easily so be carefull
also, if you grease the outside of the cv gaitor it makes it more supple and less likely to crack
obviosly clean it off afterwards before you refit them
