Rally Mudflaps or not?
Hi all opiniouns please, i have been building up my MOTORSPORT escos as a full GRP A REP from 1994 monte, the car is nearly done extirior wise just waiting for the small grp a mirrors to go on, but cant make my mind up on mudflaps not many TARMAC SPEC cars seem to have them, i got the material in blue will it look wright or not ?????? what do you all think cheers andy

I would say "no" mate coz they just flap about in the wind imo and as you say tarmac spec cars dont seem to have them ..............just get the those orange wing indicators and grp a mirrors on and its PERFECT

I have to say A BIG NO aswell Andy, ive seen evos on them ralliart flaps over here and they just look wrong.... your car is spot on the way it is, in fact id say its perfect the way it is....

--they would stop all the crap getting thown up at the competitor behind you!!!, have you ever been faster than the car in front????????- they should be mandatory on all stage events (metal/tarmac roads) inclusive---,f ------what they look like!!!lol,
your a competitor???-----or posser??-latter im assuming if your thinking of looks!!!!!.

Andy's car is a rally REP so its hardly going to throw crap up at a competitor behind him

Andy,
The only thing that lets the car down as a rep, is the exhaust. Cars of that age and type had a rear exit exhaust that turned downwards as it exited the rear bumper.
The mud flaps are moulded to the front wings and rear bumper, are these the type you have?
I personally woudn't put them on a road car as it means drilling the wings and bumper...
As is done on my rally car here...

Im convinced NO FLAPS, but new exhaust is on cards have approached tube torque to make a replica of the group A system from turbo back but with a silencer in lol

They also had mudflaps pretty much all the time!! (in black so they were subtle-Wheel hugging ones though, not spaniels ears!!)
Get some proper wrap round flaps and it is perfect (though its pretty much there anyway IMO!!)
I am proper jealous!

i meant the ones coming out of the back bumper that point down, they look really really shit the side exit ones are cool

Will make my car look younger and yours look right (ish-spotters!! LOL)
And if anyone out there has a "Naff" looking side exit exhaust system, I'll swap that for my cat free Mongoose too!!!
