My escos had developed a judder when accelerating, is this common?
what could be the possible cause?

Can you elaborate? Does it feel like engine, transmission, suspension or wheels. Mine feels like a vibration from the engine / gearbox area but only at full throttle, in any gear and from mid to high revs. Changed nearly everything I can think of, just put it down to a characteristic of the car.

Its quite violent and is getting worse, it feels like the engine, or something at the front, maybe the prop. Im not technical minded so am struggling.

Could be driveshafts or front prop. Or an engine mount causing driveshaft problems. wouldn't have thought it was a wheel balance problem if it's that bad - you could swap the front wheels to the back to be sure!!

One thing though, you really don't want your front prop going bang!! Get it checked out mate, if you're not sure about it.

Yeah think thats a good idea, ill get it booked in somewhere asap. thanks for the advice lads.

yes m8 check out th engine mounts first, cause mines had very bad vibration only i left it too late it was where th engine mount bolts to block.. broke drive shaft bolts in block jus lucky i was near home at th time...

pretty much as Kev has already mentioned mate.

engine mounts are a common weakness if the cars lowered a little to much.

drive shafts can destroy the inner CV joints if its been driven like an animal with silly launches.

and as for the front prop going, be gratefull that it only takes out the side of the gearbox when it lets go if thats what it is, when they are spinning at the stupid RPM's they will chop thru everything - and its only inches from your feet!!!!

You should be able to feel if the front prop has play in the joints. As Kelv said you don't want one of them to let go.
