escort front driveshafts

could anyone please tell me if the front shafts are the same lenght or one slightly longer than the other and which one,as i have heard they were different but mine are the same.cheers darren

drivers side one has a groove for the circlip to go in the diff

so does anyone know the reason for there being a clip on the drivers side shaft and not the passenger side??

reason i asked is that if you turning left slow on full lock it feels like its pulling the shaft out.turn right and its fine,same at speed it judders badly.
the car is lowered but not stupid low.
