Default Tightening up front end and steering

I'm currently rebuilding my car AGAIN (lol) and want to get the front end sharp again so am replacing anything that might need replacing.

I'm thinking Rack, TCA's and track rod ends. The car already is fully polybushed so don't need them.

To be honest, none of the above components has any real play in them what I can tell but the car didn't feel as sure footed as it should be. Anyone have any comments or ideas about 100% guaranteeing that the car will be sorted if I replace X component??

I mounted a compression strut kit last summer, together with gaz coilovers. IMO that made a big difference. Made the car much tighter I think, even thoug I removed the anti-roll bar.

getting some different 19's but in 8.5" wide instead of 8's.

don't think it was the wheels to be honest. Was just the steering wasn't responsive. You could turn the wheel an inch or so either way and the car wouldn't turn! Just didn't feel right.

Default rack

put a new rack in it, they wear at the point where the pinion pushes into the rack, mostly centre 70% of the time

If you want to make your front end Sharp i would say get your self some Adjustable TCA's and with all the other parts you have mentioned and have your car setup with 2 & 1/2 Degrees Negative Camber, 2ML Toe In overall " 1ML each side and 3 Degrees 30 Caster

Soon as i pulled out of the Garage from having these settings the car felt as you put it a lot more sharper seem to sling shot the car round corners

i also had Rack, wheel bearings, track rod ends, adjustable TCA's, Avo mono suspention, big breaks ect ohh and went form baldish 17" wheels to new Comp MO6's with new tyres

has totaly transformed the way the car rides, it is setup for the track and i dont know how pratical it is for the road but i do also use my car on the road and its Sharp as f*ck

Check the steering link bar joints for wear / free play. This is the bar that goes from the bulkhead to the rack, it has two joints, uj type and also a rubber damped joint. If either of these are worn that the free play will lead to the problems you describe above.
