Hugh really sorry to hear of your bad news, not sure how you will fare with the insurance, as they will refer this to the underwriters and there job is to save the insurance company from paying out. However seek a good solicitor like White Dalton, they dealt with me on my bike accident and i was in the same case as you, they cancelled the insurance on my bike so i lost 32k as i had exceeded the mileage, however it was not my fault, a jumped a prick hit me head on.
But White Dalton sorted my claim and i ended up getting the full amount.
All the best
Regards
Gareth

Surely if they pulled out on you, its irrelevant what the the state of your insurance is? You should be claiming of the other persons insurance?

Sorry m8 u aint got a leg to stand on.. used 2 work in car insurance... you have driving other cars extention only for other cars that are INSURED and owned on the road by another person. so u cant insure your mondeo 2 drive a cossie and apart from that driving other cars is covering you for third party only.... your lucky the 5-o dont do you for no insurance....
