Default Who else here has rust on thier Cossie (and where)

Just wondering really as these cars are now over 10 years old I cant be the only one that is suffering from some rust?

Ive got rust on the front wings on the lip and the front where the wing meets the lights and bumper.

Also some rust on the lip on the rear quarter (only one side as other side has been replace )

Anyone else got any?

I though the sills were never avaliable from Ford, what did you do, replace or repair it?

Mine had started to go on the sills, and there is some bad bubbling around the filler cap that needs repairing ASAP.

Not bad for a 92 K plate BT tho

mine is absolutely mint underneath ,no rust what so ever, The fact that it spent the first 5 years of it's life in singapore then only 2 winters in the uk before I bought it is no doubt the reason, for the last 4 1/2 years it has been garaged from september to may..

this was it before I gave it a clean last winter

Mine's got some rust on the hatch, just under the lower rear spoiler, couple of patches each as big as a old 10 pence piece.

My Esc cos had some rust in the bottom of the A-pillar, where it meets the inner wing. See quite bad rust on most of norwegian esc cossies theese days.

i have found the the big turbo madels are far better for not rusting as the small turbo ones as most of the big turbo ones were heavily waxoiled by fords were as the smaller turbo ones had very little waxoil applied by fords so are starting to rust along the silledges

the majority or rusty ones i have seen have either been used properly and regulary or have had previosly bad repairs

mine had a bit on the outer rear seat mount on the drivers seat, it could have been skimed & filled but i thought that would just leave it on borrowed time & it would come back worse,,, so i removed the bracket on the underside of the floor, cut the shite bit out & fillited a plate in there. Only problem is i chucked the plate somewhere (captive nut was threaded) & havn't found another plate as yet
