Default What fuel do you use?

I've got a small turbo car with a stage one chip and stainless exhaust. I normally use Shell Optimax / V-Power but at the weekend I couldn't find a Shell garage where I was so I filled up with BP Ultimate. It wasn't cheap at 102.9P a litre but the performance and fuel economy does seem a little better than with Shell.

So what fuel do you use / prefer? And why?

Opinions and commments please.

Always try to use V power.
Every other fill I tend to add some octane boost as well
If no V power then I use super + octane boost and car is perfect.
When I use ultimate BP, I get nice blue flames on over-run
When I use V-power, with the ALS on it flames on everygear change
I seem to get more MPG on Vpower. Sometimes I manage 15!!

I use ESSO 98 ron only because that was what it has been set up on, there are so many out there now, there is a Tesco near me ( i use the 99 ron in my other cars ) but i want to try the BP Ultimate if i ever get the gear box sorted !!

( is BP the one they recon approx 7% increase in power / torque ?? 450 bhp + 7% = 481 ??? hmm time to test that me thinks !! )

V-power is better at preventing det than any other "normal" fuel...

I would not use anything else in any of my cars.

Lots of my friends run knock detection systems on their cars wether its thru a knocklink or via the management system and when tuned for ultimate power they get get det using any other fuel apart from Vpower.

What will happen if your car is mapped for 98 octane and your fill her up with 100 or 130 octane?? I am sure it wont be like filling rocketfuel, but is it ok or is it BAD to do.
