Default Top hole on header tank?

Redrsmk5 i borrowed this picture of yours to save me the hassle of taking one

I recently bought a polished alloy header tank, however upon going to fit i realised that the Chrome one has 3 holes coming from it when the standard one only has 2.
Where do i run pipe from the top hole to?
I have seen braided hose being used to make it look neat, where could i also get some of that?
Cheers in advance peeps.

top pipe is an extra one for connecting to a coolant swirl pot , these basically help keep the coolant bled properly and free from air bubbles that can cause hot spots within the coolant.

if you dont have a swirl pot , simply fit a short length of hose to this fitting on your header tank with a bolt secured in the end with a jubillee clip keeping it in place. This should suffice as a temporary blanking solution untill such a time as you fit a swirl pot to your top hose.
