Default Fuel consumption small turbo EsCos

Hi Everyone!

I'm curious to the fuel consumption from your small turbo EsCos.

Mine does about 385km on +- 53 litres (only superchip fitted and de-cat Magnex + k&n panelfilter) .

I think it's quite a lot, my saff 4x4 did about 450 on +- 53 litres ( and it was on green)

Maybe there's something wrong...

Thnx

365km => 33litres (completely standard)
Mixed use (highway, city roads, ...)
"Normal" driving & pedal to the metal (d*mn that car is slow )

Just to ease things up for the other reading this his consumption with the superchip on the escos is 13,7l/100km = 20,6mpg

And the Sapph... . 1,17l/100km = 24mpg

You don't say what kind of driving this comsumption occurs under. Highway, Urban, or caning it at every corner? Ive never had any trouble sticking to 28mpg (10l/100km) if I wanted too but most of the time its mostly town driving and the consumption goes up quite a bit.

Ive done around 31mpg [9,1l/100km) on the closed loop setup running greens. (motorway)

The old setup with greens but no closed loop managed 29 mpg [9,8l/100km), also on the motorway.

Don't forget compared to the saff you have a huge rear wing and front positive downfoce creating quite a considerable amount of drag compared to a slippery saff which will eat into fuel consumption at motorway speeds

Thnx for all the reply's.

I use it mixed ( highway, Urban, city roads etc). The same as I did with my saff.

I knew theEsCos with the big whale tale and front spoiler got a lot more downforce then the Saff, but I think the difference is to much.

I was thinking that there could be a problem with my EsCos, maybe a sensor failure??? But which one??

I recently did a huge service maintenance (also cleaned the injectors, new fuel filter, oil, air filter (K&N) etc). But i didn't make any difference

I just filled up mine yesterday and got 285 mile to a tank. I dont thrash the car so i would imagine that to be good. That works out at 25mpg. However thats the best i have ever got out of a cossie. My saff gets about 220 mile to a tank
