add some gasket sealant on the half moons, where the gasket meets the half moon. and bolt it up

wheni took the rocker off before powder coating it i seen someone had used some kinda sealer before.

Can i get this at my local motorstores? and is it simply called gasket sealer?

Instant gasket is crap, as is any silicone based one, thta is why they are so cheap.
Use LOCTITE 5910.

I wouldn't use any sealant on the actual gasket, just on the half moons, mines been done many many times in the past and never leaked doing ti this way.

The stuff you refer to is SIKAFLEX, not SILKAFLEX.
Not suitable at all, if you phone up LOCTITE on 01442 278100, they will be able to point you to your nearest supplier.
5910 is like a slightly softer plasticine in consistency.
When I first started using it years ago I gave all of my HYLOMAR away, about 10 -12 tubes, and have never looked back.
I have to date NEVER had a leak from a component put together with the 5910.
There is another loctite product 5900 which is a MUCH FASTER SETTING ONE, ie about 2 minutes!!.
The stuff is 50% dearer than others but it works.
