Default took the day off work today......

and spent it as follows.....

11:00am........



11:05am........













11:30am..........

















12:30pm........









1:15pm........















findings were......

1x blown head gasket

also......

1x blown inlet manifold gasket......




and a knackered thermostat housing seal.....



i also made a new friend today that wouldn leave ma driveway and wasnt scared to come right up close and help out........

haha , yeah..... i've had a fair few apart before like!!! LOL!!!

ya get used to working quickly when ya a mechanic on a bonus scheme from monday to saturday!!! LOL!!!

Remove the under shield if you have it, undo two 17mm bolts under neath and turn and pull out the two retaining clips either side pretty easy really

sent head to get pressure tested and checked for distortion whilst it's off....


gonna put her back together with.......

grp A head set + bolts
new set INA hydraulic lifters
new grp A belt and tensioner
3 core alloy radiator (not yet bought)
and RS500 style large alloy intercooler (not yet bought)
also gonna replace ma damaged washer bottle whilst the front end is off

then once she's bolted back together i shall be investing in a new set of tyres as they are in desparate need of replacement.....

certainly didnt hang out.

That Pigeon looks like a racing pigeon or something, can see it tag around its leg. (Dont know anything about pigeouns, but its looks a little clean to be one of the pigeons from London).

bet ya cant wait till its all back to 2gether now.

check your block doesn't need skimming, thats the problem i had only to find out once it was fully back together
