Oil smell on idle T25

Oil smell on idle T25
Hello everybody,
Since I have my T25 escort I sometimes smell oil in the interiour.
This is only when the car stands still and the engine is idling (warm engine).
No difference when driven hard or slow
I checked if there was oil in the inlet of the turbo, but all looked ok.
Also the oil level is ok, no filling up needed.
Any ideas what can cause the smell and how to solve it?

no idea about the smell....
just you being paranoid...lol
also, the escos has a T28 turbo
and in my experience with them, they seem to develope problems for no reason at all.....
even brand new ones...
but anyway,....thats off subject...

OIl fumes are being drawn into interior through the heater vents, so oil must be either burning or leaking somewhere, any oil vapour wil go a long way, breather system?

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Is it definately engine oil you can smell and not transmission?? When I had my EsCos it developed a slight leak from the gearbox which dropped down onto the exhaust, hence the reason you can't smell it until you're stood still idling which gives the oil fumes chance to rise up into the cabin area?

got to agree with tabetha for oil smell in the interior i,d check for leaks first then look at the breather pipe which vent,s to atmosphere. it has to drop quite low in the engine bay to vent out underneath the car.
