Default Is this the right ecu (small turbo)

Because a mate of mine is having some problems....

It has a slight misfire when it has warmed up.
It also only gos to about half way on the boost gauge. I changed the internal diaphram in the internal dump valve due to it being split. But this didn't help
Tryed new fordplugs
new coil packs
checked the wiring to the coil packs
checked for air leaks

I thought i would check the ecu to see if it had been chipped and it hasn't.
The car hasn't got the red chip in the key. Not sure if that matters.

The car is on an M reg if that helps

Never seen a tare code on a cossy with CARD.
Only ever seen COSY or ANTI.
The code relates to the immobiliser and you can use a different ECU with changing the key.
I have a year old ANTI ecu & chip for sale, but he would need to get the key reprogrammed at ford!!!

Yes, CARD is an small turbo ECU code. Mine was built in august 1994 and has a CARD code. From what I've seen, only the very early small turbo models have this ECU code. Which date was yours built?
