FAO Pro-Alloy "Wideboy" cooler owners
Hi Guys - hope you can help...
What order have you placed the brackets to fit your coolers?
My bracket seems to only have a slight difference between the spacing on the holes, but that doesn't seem to be a problem - it would appear that the airdam comes too high up the cooler, and will mean that it can't be bolted up properly...
Any one else had this prob, or am I missing something thats blatently obvious?
A pic says a thousand words:
Cheers
Rich
*edited as I've reaslised half of the title didn't come out! lol!*

If need be i'll get the dremmel out and take the 5-10mm off of the air dam, but it seems like a shame to spunk £400 on a cooler to then have to mod it... - I have got the mounts on correctly haven't I?

Looks like you'll have to mate!!!the mounts look spot on to me, ive never seen that before on any escort cossie cooler it baffles me as to why an air dam is needed at all on them.

paul ripley had the same problem sometimes they make the dams too tall .....
ah fabrication dont bother using them as they cant see the point its not actually forcing the air in or out ....
either send it back or trim the dam back a bit

the dam is to make sure all the air goes through it and not around the sides, whether this makes much difference i dont know, could you not use an extra mounting rubber each side or would the cooler sit too low? if not it looks like A cut jobbie, like you say though you dont want to be doing that to a brand new item

Can't be bothered with all of the hastel of packing it up, and then sending it back to do something that will take all of 5 mins with a dremmel anyhow ...
Oh well..... all in the name of "fun" i guess...
Cheers for the help guys!

Trialfitted mine to my 3door today, only to discover I had the same problem, ofcourse I want the cooler to sit as high as possible under the slampanel, so I`ll have to trim the sides of the airdam about 5cm down. Not a problem at all, but not pleasant taking the grinder to nice new parts anyhow

I'm not yet owner of it but I want one since they were made
here is a pic taken on ProAlloy site
No spacer seems to have been fitted to lower the braket so I guess you really have to cut the dam but as said a little call or e-mail to them would be better...
