maybe starting to go, is it using a lot of water? have a look down by the side of the tubo between head and block they 'normaly' go there (in my case anyway).

As said could simply be the seal in the cap.
The normal place the gasket goes is just above the CORE PLUG on number four pot, offside of car.
They suffer from localised water boiling in the block here, which of course massively raises the pressure in the system.
FORD in their infinite wisdom did not uprate cooling system with better pump etc and even made rad smaller just to help matters even more.
I am doing a h/gasket at the mo but am putting on a new water pump pulley as a precaution to speed up the water flow, and veented bonnet, already taken away the shiled between the rad/intercooler, and this helped a massive amount as well.

I had this and changed the gasket. Even after that it was still doing it but not as bad, so i changed the cap and all's good now..
Although the water hose(The one that goes off to the right off the thermostat) is quite hard after a run.. Don't know if that's bad of not? No water loss though..

Over filled the header tank maybe?
Best to get a sniff test done on your header tank to find out for sure.
Just involves putting gas anyliser into the header tank to see if there are any hydro carbons in the water vapour.
