Default lots of bits have been chromed....let the rebuild commence!

Hello All

Wont go into too much detail here as am going to do a thread in projects over the weekend and next week as im off work and putting the car back together...... but look what i picked up today

Well happy with everything, even the difficult to chrome bailey tanks have come out in superb quality.......Cant wait to get it all on just need some good weather Cue the bufty posts

Thanks all.....cant stop looking at it all layed out in my house

Rolls: One of the reasons why ive had most of this stuff chromed (apart from th obvious ) is that polished alloy and sometimes stainless goes dull over time with heat etc, with chrome you just wipe it you dont have to polish it up all the time.

looks good,will be a lot easier than trying to buff the alloy parts all the time,have you done the cam cover to match?

Radman: No i havent done the cam cover as i thought that would look a bit too much ( as if this lot isnt ) and i also like mine in the body colour as it is.

Escortons: its a small family run place about 2 miles from me called Niphos, not cheap but top quality!!

going to look very nice and easy to clean as well, was going to do mine plus other bits but decided not to do concours this year so didnt bother and spent the money on the house instead

Went round last night and it was all laid out on the floor, looks the dogs danglees!!! Can't wait for ya to fit it all mucker, am looking forward to the first outing for the Cossies, gonna bring back soooo many memories when we used to cruise together (In then Fiesta XR2i's) down the A50 to Donny only to be pulled by the local plod and get 3 points lol.

Bring on the shows I say!

That all brings back memories, all that chrome layed out, reminds me of when I did my Cobra, have a look at

Can't see that turbo snail staying as intended through, the heat will change its colour very quick. Just my humble opinion.

Will look great through, watch the bolt heads when you do them up on the chrome bolts, they flake if a badly fitted spanner is used.

Have finished the car today and didnt damage one bolt!! hope youre wrong on the snail but ive got great confidence in the chromers that have done it.
