I use RED STUFF CERAMIC, on my sapphy(f&r), and they are awsome, best pad I have ever used tbh.
Works from stone cold excellent but even better when warm, no noise very very little dust, very very progressive too.

Not sure on quality of the disc though, but for the price if your not going to be using them heavy id say they are worth it.

I have used DS2000 & DS 2500, as well as pagid, mintex and some others.
I have never used a pad so crap myself as the DS ones, absolutely no feel, fade too easy, and just don't stop, they just feel like a wooden block to me, you can feel everything with EBC, which is what i like.
But as G1EN says he likes them, as do lots of other people, I think it depends a lot on driving style.
I have EBC GREENSTUFF(V4) on the other halfs astra, these are crap but the original greenstuff were ace.

So you want to pay over £100 for brake pads....

You only need standard pads on rear, and as per my previous post, would definitly recomend ds2500, and they are around £50-£60 for the front.

the disk's are ok. Don't expect huge improvement in compare to the original disk's, however it's better then original

If you buy a complete set disk's and pad's (and some Goodridge brakehoses) that's an improvement.

But as said, the Ferrodo DS2500 pad's are better then the EBC pad's .

If you want a huge improvement, buy a 330mm Wilwood/AP/MOV'IT etc set

I have used DS 2000/25000, MINTEX 1144/1155, PAGID, and now use EBC redstuff ceramic, frankly with a doubt the DS were the worst pads I have ever used, el cheapo halfords were streeets ahead of these, just my opinion.
