I am about to send you a lengthy reply to your PM, but in the meantime, just to clarify a few points:
The 4-injector Pectel board can EITHER run ALS OR 12 position boost control for the air injectors NOT both. To achieve both, you need the 8-injector board. You can still run the air injectors with ALS, just not the boost pot controller. ARP's on a Cossie block should be avoided like a 90 year old hooker with herpes .

Thanks for the reply
So can the 8-injector board run everything? as in 12 point boost, ALS, Air injectors, water injection and only 4 injectors rather than 8? got the ARP's now mike long studded isnt an option for this engine any other sudgestions? cheers |

![]() Yes, throw them in the bin. It is an absolute NECESSITY for the block AND the head to be faced when fitting a metal gasket. Failure to do so WILL result in head-gasket failure! The Cometic ones fail in a few thousand miles even when this IS done, so I wouldn't touch them with yours .

£375 for the Pectel board (in stock), £65 for your ISCV to be modified, £900 for a Maram shafted T34 (in stock), £150 for a modified throttle body (for additional airflow).
You then need someone who can live map the ECU to suit your required program for Stage III. I only know two people that can do this (with the ALS as well) and that is Ahmed Bayjoo and Paul Hills. Ahmed would be my choice.

Nothing at this power level.... I really wouldn't recommend anything other than long-studs in all good conscience. At a push, WRC gasket and standard bolts, but the engine STILL has to come out, because for it to seal properly, it is an ABSOLUTE MUST for the block and head to be surface planed and be absolutely flat. Failure to do so WILL result in gasket failure! You could fit a YBO611 gasket and standard bolts and change the gasket every 6000 miles (before it fails, so you don't need to keep skimming the head). But that is obviously VERY costly unless you can do it yourself.... Quote:

Are you serious the engine has to come out to change the head gasket even if the one in it is ok? FUUUUCK!
if i have the engine out i may aswell do the whole lot All i wanted to do was stick a set of grey injectors in get all the componets for Anti lag I.E. turbo, Ecu, throttle body, rs500 cooler, change the head gasket and have it custom mapped i just wanted to flote about on 380/400ish Hp untill i was ready/could afford to have a proper engine Built so whats the damage of getting the head gasket done if i get everything up and running "not mapped tho" take it to a tuner have the head gasket done I.E. have multilayer and standard bolts and then take it to be mapped once this is done? you supplying parts aswell this rate im not gonna be able to afford to run the bloody thing let alone bow it up |

The cheapest option would be to just fit a YBO611 head gasket with standard bolts. It isn't really up to the job of 380bhp, but it will last a few thousand miles of hard use and maybe nearly 6-7k of mild "occasional" abuse.
However, fitting a METAL headgasket requires both surfaces to be planed flat and there is NO POINT in fitting one, if you aren't going to do this .You could then get someone like Ahmed to map the EPROM to suit your spec, which will need some ignition / fuelling and boost changes (due to your car still being 8:1). This will give you around 350-360bhp (the limit of the standard compression with a T34). But at least you will have your ALS and a bit of extra fuelling in hand with the greys. If you speak to him nicely, he could even sort out lamda control for good fuel economy as well
