Maybe i'm not a div!!??... HELP INFO PLZ!!??
coming back from MAD my inner nearside cv joint gave way, so wanting it sorted i had to go buy a new shaft. £160 later, today i fit the shaft drive home about 10 miles then i hear something ....
look under and the f***ing inner joint large metal clip has snapped and the grease has gone everywhere again ......
now either i am damn unlucky or maybe something is snapping these ....
anyone!?

think every one has some kind of problem with them. only the genuine ford ones that come with the propper boots are any good. i put after market boots, clips on and the week after they had all come off i managed to find some cable ties that fit into the grove on the boot perfectly and they have now been on for 4 months and no probs what so ever

I had exactly the same problem. Turned out to be the engine mount gone on the passenger side.
Only way to check is to try jacking the engine up with a block of wood. Looked spot on until I did this then it opened right up!
No harm in double checking yourself. If the mount is gone the driveshaft has been known to pop out when you launch the car and then smash the diff housing - nasty!

ok right couple of things i have fixed a new clip on there and it seems ok so far BUT, since i got the car back from mark around the inner joint there been rattling which got me thinking....
the inner joint is it supposed to lock into the sump??? i know my fiesta ones do but are these meant to!? as i dont think it is as when i replaced the shaft the inner literally fell out..... so we just slipped the new one in but it didn't seem to lock i thought this could be how they were ...
seems to me that maybe a clip is missing and maybe the joint keeps coming out the spline maybe? if so hope it aint fucked anything ....
