[quote="Stoo"]The doors are the only things the same. MK5 doors are the same throughout the range..quote]
I thought that the Escort Cosworth got the doors from the MK5b (from end 1992 - begin 1995)
The Mk5b doors are different from the MK5 doors. From outside the same, but the inside is a bit different. MK5b got some safety
stuff inside.
Or am I wrong?

I thought all Escort Cossies had side impact protection? I thought it was even listed in the Sales Brochure?
My 1992 car has the beams in the doors.
There IS also a difference between Cosworth Doors and normal doors.
The Cossie doors have sound deadner stuck in them. When I bought my car it only had deadner in the drivers side as the passenger side had suffered from an accident and been replaced.
I have now fitted the sound deadner. It really does make a diiference if youve ever got in a standard Escort 1.3 and slammed the door it sounds very tinny

The other difference between ECos doors and standard 1.3 items are the reflectors below the catch.... normal doorsdont have the hole cut out to clip the reflector into...
I would say any doors with side impact protection will have the holes for reflectors and vise versa

Think that cossies got the doors of the MK5b (some say Mk6) Escort (from 1992 till 1995 model).
Because they got the same doors

All MK5b (some say Mk6) Escort's in Holland, Germany and Belgium got standard reflectors in the doors.
Maybe in the UK it's different, I don't know.
Btw. I've been watching pic's from your Cossie, superb car

Hi All.
Had a look at microcat tonight.
FORD only list the two doors on all the escort range from 1990 - 1995.
RH FINIS CODE - 6870912 - Part no. - P92AB B20122 AA
LH FINIS CODE - 6870913 - Part no. - P92AB B20123 AA
Hope this helps m8.
Deffinatley checked then checked again just to be sure guys.
