Default Few Q's on bits for Car

Been surfin the web for parts and bits for the escort and came accross a RS500 COSWORTH RADIATOR AND INTERCOOLER for £230 Item number: 250068179702 Is there any reason i should not buy this for my cossie?

I also need a passenger side Hocky Stick there is a Fiber Glass Replica set for £9.99 has anyone brought a set? "whos gonna admit that" other than that anyone know where i can get a genuine set / single from?

anyone know anything about 2 stage boost or have it for that matter on there escort cosworth? i had it on my escort turbo i vaigly remember it being a switch that would turn the amal valve off "might be wrong was about 8 years ago" anyway i was thinking somthing along the lines of mild to wild at the flick of a switch?

i did once read on here about closed loop lambada ect but cant find it anyone got a link to the topic anyone? I have done a search looking for the original where Stu@MSD explained it all! Anyone here got it whats your thoughts Good what sort of money did it cost you?

Sorry for all the questions but save me doing topic after topic asking a number of question thought i may aswell ask them all in one place

Cheers Ben

that intercooler looks quiite small, i should find a proper esc cos one it will be a few inches longer, also if you have aircon that set up will not fit anyway, dont buy the f/glass hockey stick unless you can try it for fit,i got some once for a previous car and it took me all day to get them to fit anything like, loads of sanding filing etc and they still looked shit! and were too narrow, orig ford ones are also f/glass,but top quality as you would expect for £80 odd apiece

Do you know of anywhere where i can get a genuine one?

do you think the intercooler will make that muchg diffrents being a bit smaller i cant see it being that much smaller as its right upto the brackets and i havent got Aircon so that wont stop it im going for arround 400BHP no more if you think this setup wont be sufficiant then ile blank it and look else where just the price looks sooo good

"just has the worst 4 hours of my life lost the keys to the new car and ripped the house to shreds found them behind the fridge" (howd they get there? fuck knows)

Well if your wanting 400bhp then that wont be cheap, so you may as well get all the proper bits to go with it mate.

I know thats why paying £230.00 is more apeeling than £853.17 if there isnt that much init does

I have seen 2, 4x4 cosworth intercoolers used before and home made intercooles work really well i just cant see why that little setup would be so bad anyone have any facts info that should put me off? dont think im being rude im just want some facts as to why i should pay over £600 more for somthing that will do the same job

anyone know the diamentions of an original RS500 cooler? here are the stats on this one

Core Length : 600MM
Core Height: 400MM
Core Thickness: 50MM
Inlet Size: 3"
Outlet Size: 3"
End to End Length: 855mm

thanks for the link bige nice prices eh

If i have to i will buy from one of the big names I.E. Proalloy, Radtec, pace ect! i just dont see why there ally and welding is that super supriour at this level of tunning I.E. semi track/Road Car use

thanks for the input is appreciated

this is the one youre on about,it looks very square shaped, you need rounded ends to help the airflow etc, plus i dont think the hose connections would be the right size

cant remember as it was a few yrs back, the brackets are diff to allow the cooler to sit as far forward as poss allowing more room for the ally rad and fans, the other one you posted looks better design, cheap as well!

i bought some off a well known internet auction site.
and could tell without even fitting them that they were PONY.
tried it on the car and the fit was no where near
would not recommend them
