I have just got a big turbo escort cosworth and am looking to change the turbo unit for something a bit better !


What do yous boys and girls have ?

I had a T35 stage 2 on my saff and it was a good turbo was thinking of getting the same for the escort but thought id see what other people have

Also has anyone got a T38 on Thar escort and what is it lick compared to the T34 / 35

Ive ran a T34 .63 good turbo that pulled strong through the revs
T35 .55 less lag and still pulled strong at the top end
UT T38 gets mapped next month ???

what mods have been done so far?

what i mean is there is no point considering a large turbo if it will never be needed..

the turbo that comes on the escort cossie is a belter IMO..

just needs a 360 bearing

I just want it to pull like my old saff .

it has a bajoo chip greens and a 3 bar map but it just wont pull lick i want

i should get it up to AVA to see what it is running before i do a thing !

the escort will have to have about 50 bhp more to feel like your saf

Hopefully all going well my car should be mapped on greys(or mibi 1000cc) and a UT T38 within the next 3 weeks so will post up then what i think compared to the other 2 turbos i have had.

Not been put on rolling road as yet. when A1 rally sport built the engine he estimted 420 BHP I beleave that to be right as the engine prior to the rebuild was rolling roaded at 395 brake and this engine is quicker by a long way

T38 for me thats running about 450 bhp thats only done 1500 miles going to and back from the shows this year but thinking about replacing it very soon

What sort of boost are you running on your t38 Dunc and what you going for next a GT30??

running 26 psi max, as with that it is maxing out the grey`s lol

as for next turbo probley going smaller again lol as i dont need 450 bhp, greys, ect, ect as my car could be on the way to being a show car only, will have to wait and see what direction i take

mine goes in next week for mapping and that was one of my worrys that the greys will max out. will just have to see how it goes, noticed Stu has some 850cc's and 1000cc's on fleabay.

seems pretty high power wise....

doubyt you would even get that with a t4 running 26 psi

mine 'did' until someone helped me clean the ally housing with a wire bruch and scrubbed off the ink

that is what they said out of the factory
