i have a bit of a problem 5 years a go i bought a monte large turbo rhd in mallard green. but when i bought it it never had the number on the dash i would like to no which number it is just wondered if any one could help me with this or to find out

no nothing round the gear stick it has all the motorsport seats wheels gear nob just no number

hi all escort cosworths have the plate with the number on the dash!!! its part of the documentation for the car!!!! cross refferanced to chassis etc some one must have had a reason for removing it!!------ its bonded on, hows the chassis number looking?(under carpet) cheers guru 7001

car is all up to scratch v5 vin number plus chasis all ok some one must have a list of chasis number and monte number surly all that there is is cosworth written on the dash were the number should be im stumped

is it all genuine? its just that this plaque was the only part not available separately as far as i know,ie you could buy the seats,wheels,s/wheel,and handbrake etc,seems strange that the plaque isnt fitted?

well i think so hpi all comes back fine all tallys up its got motsport seats oz wheels gear nob and hand break is there any thing else they should have apart from the number

I'm really not sure how we can find the exact number

Check my list below my sig.. it seems there is no relation between chassis numbers, colours, age or country of origin

Its as if they where randomly picked out of a box BUT! I believe there may be a way of telling whether it is actually a monte thou.. pm me your chassis number and I'll do some investigating

the pics i have one colour codded handle on drivers side but not on the other reason could of been privious owner broke handle and replace with a normal one all the other money shots are there

Tell me if its a stupid comment.... but on the banana pod on a non monte cosworth theres a small cosworth bagde, on the monte one is there a cosworth badge and an id number in the same space taken up by a non monte?......my thinking is that this may have had a new banana pod at some point and if the badge recesses are different from a monte to a normal are the banana pod part numbers different?

theres too many things on this car to make it a monte rather than not!!
