Default Opening boot

Right bit of a problem here, never opened my boot for ages go to open it today and it'll not open tried the lock and that wont open either.
So how will I get it open?

need to climb into the boot and get behing the boot lock.

Dave I was in the boot yesterday but just don't know how to open the lock

Any chance of explaining it like you would to a complete mong

does can you hear the solenoid work when you press the boot release..?

Yep when I press it you hear the solenoid but it just doesn't realise

might sound silly, but you have tried the key in the boot? other way would be to remove the plastic liner from the inside of the tailgate - youll have to dop the back seats to get to it and manually pull the rod that connects to the release machanism, i suspect this has come disconnected from the lock/motor mechanism, there is usaulyl a plastic clip whach stops this happeneing, this may have broke off - hence the problem.

im sure once i had locked the doors wid the key but opened it with the alarm fob and this locked the boot seperately. only just a thought.(if you know what i mean)
