As title.............

And will a 1.5 ton trolley jack be ok??

its 1470kg IIRC or there abouts, so a 1.5 tone jack would be ok as you are not actually lifting the WHOLE weight of the car - just a corner at a time and then putting axle stands under it or blocks .

Mine being a twin air-bagged EECIV with all the extra weight the additional safety equipment adds is 1429kg with half a tank of fuel . So given what Dave said regarding the fact you aren't lifting the total weight, yes it will be fine .

Sorry to sound dumb, i know you have said it will be ok as it will not be supporting the whole car, so will a 1.25 ton jack be ok?

should be fine mate as long as you use the jack as a start then use axel stands once jacked up...

an escos T35 without airbags, refresh cooling, big rims is around 1275 kg....
