Default Wirng question

When my autoelectrician unravelled the wiring loom that runs along the bulk head.. by the alloy brake distributer block on the left hand side under battery there was a single wire (brown with red stripe) with a black connector on it with a male spade. Can't see what it would plug into and its quite short so doesn't reach much.. diagnostic port? or something else?
