Hi guys what sort of money do completely bare escort cossie shells go for (if found of course)???? i`m not bothered if it has i`d or not as i want it for track use only and to reshell my rs2000.......yes i did say rs2000

Seeing as the only things the Rs2000 and Escos share in common is the headlights,backlights and glass i think you will have a job mate..

guys i`m thinking of reshelling to the escort cosworth shell, i said nothing about it being a road car or what wheels will be doing to hard work..........

I've seen escos shells go for around £3k but you may be able to pick 1 up cheaper.
As for sticking the 14 lump in & rear driving it, i can't see it being a big problem mate to a man of your abilities

i`m really not bothered by the comments as i knew it would cause interest
if a shell comes up then i will consider it but for now i`ll just tidy up my shell up and get her back out on track so i can upset more turbo drivers
oh dont forget the bonnets fit each other, i know the boots are the same as i have a carbon fibre escort cosworth one here to prove it lol

i work in bodywork so as long as its not completely bent and rusted to death i could use it

i was allways led to beleive get your self a 2.0 dohc xr4x4
and transplant all the mechanicals bar the dohc 8 valve motor,
put it straight in a cossie shell, drop a yb in and bingo,
i have seen a dohc xr4x4 complete car for 100 english pounds
chuck that into a Cozzie escort shell and you have a intresting
project on the go
