Default Interior heater / blower not working

Right RE the heater not working.

When i had the VECTA alarm removed at the beginning of the year, i think the fella doing it might of mistakenly chopped something he shouldnt of...............Haven't had any heater (interior blower) ever since.

Looking at the dash after taking it apart for Ryan, i noticed this wire indicated in this piccy.

Now i'm pretty sure when me & Paul R sorted the wiring on my Defi's this had a spade connector attached...

I think this is whats stopping it from working!

Anybody got any idea's as to what it is or its job? JESUS why can't you get a complete wiring guide to Escorts!

pretty sure that wires normally taped up behind the controls, there is only the multilpug on the back of the switch and the wiring to the fan assembly, check the thermistor? on top of the fans for a live as these can pack up,presume youve checked for a live at the switch?

What a mess....

Have you tried running 12v straight on the fan itself...? Might be an idea first, hopefully it could save you a lot of hassle.
As I said in your resto thread, mine was full of shit and blew fuses constantly, cleaned it out and its been fine since.

If you do find its the fan that is broken, its the same as normal mk5 Escorts. No idea about cars with A/C though, I know they are different, but no idea what...

No Aircon mate........... Thats what windows & sunroof are for!

I'll take the fan unit off the car (if it ever stops raining!) and give it a test!

check to see if any of the wires are live (12v) on the multi plug, ign and switch on, if not live sounds like fuse box to me thats how mine started
