Default danger my xr3 problem

think i found my problem one of my rear torsion bars has just SNAPPED !! . In all the years messing about with escorts i have never known one to snap i was luckly i was driving in a staight line at the time (very scary) i would recomend everyone to check theres (but having said that my car is 24 years old)

This happened to a mate of mine a few years ago on his 3i, was travelling along the motorway at the time and ended up in a ditch

its a common thing. they usually go when you brake hard into a corner i have had i few go on mk3s . good thing is ford still sell new ones and all the bushes and bolts. they have to order them though...

happened to my 16i last summer.

there was a big bang when i pulled up the kerb!!

new one from hemel ford cost Ł50odd and they had it in stock.

have lots of fun putting the bush in the end!!!!!

Take a trip down your local motor factors, you might have to order them but my mate got a set for his Mk1 Fiesta so you must be able to get them
