Fiesta mk1 RS1600i reving problem
Hi,
I'm new to this forum (always been on XRTwo.com)
I got a mk1 Fiesta, with RS1600i engine, MFI unit and xr3 dizzy)
here are some pics :
I got it running, no problems there.
Today I adjusted the CO-value to 1.5% and iginion set aswell (12deg).
But the problem is it won't rev above 3000 - 3500 Rpm.
I got the air hose replaced by a Samco one, but the diameter is slightly bigger.
It sounds like the car is overfuelling. Maybe an injector is fault and let too much fuel thru ?
Any ideas someone ?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards,
Martein

Hi,
thanks for your reply!
It was sorted, well... the car was drivable, but nothing more than that.
I've now decided to sell the engine and all it parts, and go for a full zetec conversion on throttlebodies
I already bought several parts (engine, RST S1 gearbox, 4-2-1 ss manifold 5speed gearbox kit) hopefully the parts arrive soon, so I can begin !
I'll keep you all updated !
