I'm still looking into the possibility of having a complete stainless steel cat & middle pipe fitted. I've seen sports cats advertised which state they fit an Escort but are also universal but I'm also wondering if it would cost much to have some pipework and flanges made up, again from stainless steel and have them welded to the universal sports cat or maybe have one piece of long tubing coming from the cat which acts as the middle pipe as well. I know it seems like I'm dragging this out but after considering whether to keep the Escort or not, the car means a lot to me so if I'm going to do something to it, I want to try and explore every option and get the best I can available instead of just getting an off the shelf part from a car parts superstore. If that means taking my time then so be it. Thanks again.
