Mk 6 immoboliser problem
Hi Folks i'm a newbie on here...currently own a tastefully modified low mileage Mk5 which is my daily driver & a standard Mk6. Problem I have is I recently took the Mk6 for a spin, parked it up 10 mins & when I returned to start the car the after market alarm/immoboliser wouldn't dis-arm, making me look a complete fool!! Had to dis-connect a wire from siren & tow car home. Does anyone know if its possible to remove the after market alarm without causing further problems to the original system/wiring & whether the car should start once the offending items removed, or can it be by-passed in any way?? - Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Thanks for that...As you say there isn't any real need for an after market immobiliser in any case, it was fitted prior to my ownership...hate the things myself!! Have been let down by two local auto electricians failing to keep appointments so intend to tackle removal myself over the weekend.
