Hi I'm in the middle of getting all the parts to fit
My i4 engine into my mk3 escort. I'm going to be
Using twin carbs. My question is what distributor
Do I use. Any help will be appreciated, cheers Dave

I got a really good deal with it. Was gonna go zetec
But this came up off a mate

I have a i4 at my old unit, its done 80k and missing the sump and oil pick up. As your only in Selsey you welcome to it. Ill need to check they have not weighted it in first.

Ill pm you the details once ive checked but its in Southampton. It was a perfect runner, efi though. Only reason the sump and pick up missing is because some bloke on ebay bought the engine for a 5er but only wanted them two bits.

They have a fook lift there if that helps.

You'll have to use standalone ignition management, don't think there's anyway to mount a dizzy on an i4. Might be wrong though

i got lots of VW mates running this type of kit making big big numbers at the minute too!

the RS2000 has a crank sensor already in place that isnt on the flywheel too if im not wrong, so even easyer

i will be interested in seeing this. i was going to do it years ago but mounting it was too much of a problem compared to a zetec
