Default Running Issues....

Help..... Im at the end of my teather with the bloody car...!!!

It has been layed up for the last 8/10 months on the drive... In that time i started it up a few times all ok not a problem.. Had a friend with a 2.3 Galaxy that wasnt starting and took off my coil packs and tried them on it and it worked... So they used them untill they brought new ones. about 2 weeks...

Left the coil packs on the side for few months then wanted to get car ready again for MOT and bits and pieces so fitted all back together only to jump the car then find out starter motor is now broken. So thats been replaced with another new item..

Car the started but only running on 2 cylinders...?? So thought oh maybe damged coil packs when we swapped them over... So went and got 2 new ones connected all up and still running on 2....??

After talking to a mate we said could maybe be the crank sensor... So last night changed that and still running on 2....

Im stuck and cant think of anything else....

Please please can somebody shed some light on this....

Cheers

Tiller

Check the spark plugs. Might be worth doing a wet and dry compression test.

Most probably the coil pack loom as they tend to get very brittle and short out the coil packs
