Default Turbo RS2000?

my friend is currently building a twincam sierra

he wants to use a rs2000 head, a 2300 galaxy or scorpio bottom end and use a nissan turbo manifold and a t3.

Has anyone done it before? and what year or make of nissan manifold does he use

help really appreciated!

why would you want to use the sierra dohc bottom end?

why not make things easier and use the complete rs2k lump?

dunno why he would use the 2.3 pal, but you need a sr20det tubular manifold, usually the cheap argos ones last on the sr20dets! the flanges line up just need cutting off and welding, there common one usually has to even runners going over the top, then 2 to the side

The best turbo to use would be a gt25-gt28 ebay turbo IMO, get the turbo elbow off a 200sx as that should fit on the sierra as it will be in the same position, ive worked on a s14a so if you need anythin give me a shout, the manifolds are everywhere lol

use the 2.3 bottom end for bags of tourque however you will need to bin the sump along with the balance shafts to do this you will need to have a small piece machined and fitted to the bottom of the block to fit other rs2000 or the 4x4 sump, if you remove the 2.3 sump and offer up yours you will see what needs to be done its that obvious

and dont under any circumstances use a cheap ebay turbo as they do shit themselves at any decent amount of boost, the compressor housings split in two at around a bar of boost as they are in two pieces and only bonded together utter shite and not worth the money or risk to your engine

Ive never knows of them to split pal or shit themselves, but differ peoples experiances i spose.

genuine garret t25-t28 off a 200 could be cheapest best bet then
