RS2000 MK6 Supension
Hey people, im all new to passion ford a user but have followed projects from many people. i now have a question.
I have a mk6 escort rs2000 as my new project car, i am looking to put lowering springs on it but i am unsure if the standard shocks will cope? i know most cars you need to uprate shocks too but as its an RS (YEH BOYYY i thought the shocks should be uprated anyway. am i right? any info is helpful cheers!

No, shocks as far as I know arent uprated any more than a GTi, but the standard spings on an RS are 1 inch shorter than a GTi so when you buy PI's etc get the RS ones.

Good to know ill keep that in mind when getting springs, would prefer coilovers but gotta see if funds permit. i also have a little problem that the rear sub frame is rotting away could do with welding up, would you maybe have any suggestions on best methods of repairing? Cheers
