can anyone tell me if there is a difference in size from an escort 1.4 crossmember and wishbone to the ones that go on an rs2000 as i changed my car from from 1.4 to rs2000 but have had nothing but trouble with steering problems.
i bought a pair of new wishbones and had them fitted before the conversion but since the bushes have just disintigrated as if been chewed by a dog .
any help greatly appreciated

Is you car really low? Did you use genuine Ford arms?

thanks for replies, yes the car has gone lower since the conversion and i do have power steering, but since the change ive had nothing but trouble with steering problems
ive just managed to get an rs2000 subframe and another rs steering rack ,i was even having trouble changing gear as sometimes i couldnt even get it in gear, but i have been told that the rs2000 subframe has extra mounts for the gear box so hopefully once these are fitted im hoping to have no more trouble becuase its getting right on my nerves cheers guys

Yes the RS subframe has mounts for the MTX75 box, the 'normal' escort frames are different. Hopefully the subframe sorts you out mate.
