My RS16i's fan stopped working on Sunday causing my car to over heat. So I looked in the Haines manual when I got home to see what could have caused my fan to stop working and it pointed to the fan temp sender switch. I have done what it said in the manual it said how to check the fan sender switch. it said to join the 2 connectors together if the fan worked then the sender is faulty and when I connected them the fan started so I bought a new one fitted it tonight had the car running and the temperature went up to just under the red and guess what the fan didn’t come on . Can some 1 shed any light on the problem 4 me pleeeeeaaaaase

Does it say join connectors or does it say bridge with piece of wire ???

Check your wiring mate, especially at the earthing point under the airbox.

How old is your thermostat?

i got peeeed off trying to get mine to work mate so i just gave up and had it wired to a manual switch, even when it did work it always let the temp go too high before it cut in
