Default RS1600I ANTI ROLL BAR question

ive been thinking about the rs1600i anti roll bar tie rods.
are they really strong enough where they are bolted to the cast subframe?
its only 2 m8 bolts that hold them on and im just worried about putting 200bhp through them and more worried the big brakes i have fitted and worried they will snap!!??!!
i bought some new allen key bolts to hold the tie rods but im still worried what would happen if they ever snapped under exceleration!
also i am in need of a roll bar clamp to go over the rubber bush if anyone has one pm me

its under breaking that im worried about, ive got 300mm brakes and 215 tyres so there is going to be alot more force on them than what they had as standard

No mate.. I don't run any on the front or rear.

That clip on RS1600i.net that Clare took at Llandow shows the car all over the place because it was running on Dunlop slicks which are crap on my car

Yep .... as per the GP A works cars (not touring cars)

It understeers too much with them on

how does it reduce understeer?
is it because it lets the inside wheel drop down to give that bit extra grip?

No idea - it just does

Remember the surfaces I generally compete on most of the time are not nice smooth tarmac circuits

No they dont

Tension/Compression Struts work just as well or better in some circumstances.....most race cars just use arbs to fine tune the roll with the compression struts doing most of the hard work

I'm sure they'd be fine mate. as far as I understand the RS1600i has the same set up as then S1 and mines doing that kind of power and they've been fine. also This is an extra in comparison to the likes of the S2 which doesn't even have tie bars, just the roll bar.
