maximiscle promax is utter crap, it's so commercialised, what you want is an ISO protein as it's pure whey with very little carbs and calories and no sugar.

and it's proven that lifting wieght a burns much more calories than cardio, as once you finish. cardio the calories stop getting burnt but with lifting your body burns loads to recover when sleeping etc

Thing is guys I only get out at night for a hour about 6 o'clock if I can get out that is depending on my wife's shifts , I was in a really bad accident in 1998 and broke near every bone in my body apart from my back neck and right arm I still have metal in my arm so lifting weights isn't much a option , I have fat burners but they are no use to take after 6 at night u don't sleep

Shit mate thats right.totally forgot that.yeh I wouldn't use fat burners that close to bed either as I have before and not slept well.if I were you I would just do your cardio and then have a healthy dinner or if you have had your dinner then id just go for a simple impact whey protein shake with something like a scoop peanut butter.you eating decent through the day.

bloody hell must have been a. massive accident, I have scoliosis (curve ture of the spine) a knackered vertebrae, and pins bolts in leg knee, but lift everyday, not saying you should lift 100kgs, but ever since I started to lift my neck and back problems went and my spine has got straighter, even tho all doctors said it won't help! useless wankers!

the fat burners that keep you up at night are the stimulant type that will increase your heart rate so you burn more calories, look up lean xtream, loads of really good results! and reviews

If you can run before breakfast. Burns more fat and eat within an hour of exercise as your matabolism is higher.
I'm not really one to comment on this being a fat cunt

you should eat after an hour as all blood will be in muscles and not in digestive system so it will be lazy for a good 30-45 mins so if you eat it struggles to digest it

Ah right. Just going off a work mate.
He's doing some 30+ fitness thing that advised what I posted regards eating within an hour and he's lost a bit of weight doing it. (Amongst other exercises)

Just googled and seen this

"Eat within an hour after exercise.
During the first hour after exercising, your body is most able to absorb nutrients and repair muscles by restoring your glycogen reserves. This is because insulin that assists in protein re-building and enzymes that aid in metabolization are at the highest levels in the hour-window after working out.
It is also important to drink enough water within the first hour after exercise in order to help with muscle fatigue and lactate build up. Lactate is created when the body has limited oxygen. It breaks down glucose for energy. When there is extra lactate, water will help neutralize it because it is slightly alkaline. This will also keep you from overeating at the next meal."

It's all about your diet, i've found drinking supplements are only really beneficial if your working extremely hard for sport/event preparation. If im training for an event I drink grenade fat burner, it's full on so be careful with it. I train 6 days a week & use grenade 3 of those days. After my workout I drink a highly whey content recovery drink, a powder shake.

This is not advise its just my experience.

I would say half the problem is listening to to many people and l don't mean that as disrespectful to those that have posted,

I am lucky that l have a personal trainer and l did follow his advice to the letter and lost 30kg in 9 months, ran a marathon etc etc he highly recommended a Paleo/Primal diet which pretty much equates to no carbs or dairy maybe the odd complex carb, to bring this into my initial point whilst following this and clearly loosing weight and gaining muscle l had people telling me to do countless other things try different things etc etc, once you know what works for you and our lifestyle/routine then stick to it.

http://www.paddywarwick.com/before-and-afters/mike/

This is mine, through following his suggestions, when training in the gym l was a half portion protein shake before and a full portion after eating within 30 mins and eating the protein on the plate first, always have veg with each meal and breakfast within 30mins of waking.

As l understand running eats muscle not really fat, if you can run can you do leg exercises in the gym ? I would also assume you can do body weight exercises? lungs, squats, mountain climbers etc? This is a lot of what l did.

Best of luck

Mike

No supplements at all, other than Protein, followed a Paleo/Primal diet very strictly for 6 months + exercised as instructed to about 75/80%

Lots of body weight exercises, and some dumb bells
