I await a serious answer or this is going to end up in the muppet room
Things like chicken, eggs (what's the difference between eating a while egg, or just the white or the yellow? ) rice, all that stuff
Everyone is on a out carbs and whey and proteins but if the casual eater wants to have a to without buying a shed load of supplements what should they be eating to generally keep healthy? Or if they want to bulk up? Or if they are going to start to run marathons etc

To keep generally healthy you should have a mixture of fruit, veg, protein, carbohydrates and good fats.
However people that want different results with exercise or sports would chop and change for best results.
Example : carbs are good if you want loads of energy,ie playing a football match or running a marathon as carbs are converted into glucose sugar by your body and used for energy so a big plate of pasta 3 hours before this activity will give you all the energy(fuel) that you body will need and all the calories that come with carbs will be burnt off.
The same big plate of pasta eaten for tea at 7pm followed by watching tv,the go to bed will result in your body storing this sugar intake in your fat reserves.
If your building lean muscle and are training 3 or more times a week then your diet should be 70% or more in protein so lots of chicken, fish, turkey, eggs ,and to cram in more protein
100% whey protein shakes are used as these are quickly absorbed into the body and helps muscle growth and repair when the muscle has been ripped with training.
Building lean muscle your body would require around 2000 calories a day to drop your body fat to around 10% to highlight and define the muscle (being cut)
A power lifter on the other hand would have a completely different diet and would consume around 7000 calories a day.
An arctic explorer requires 12000 calories a day.
You can survive and lose weight on 1000 calories an day but you won't have much energy and you body will suffer.
There's no bad foods just bad diets.
P.s I,m no expert and there are more complex foods that do all sorts but these are the basics I've researched over the past few months while using a new training and diet plan

Cheers for that
I'm not sure how many calories I consume a day, but yesterday I had 2 bananas, 2 double cheeseburgers from mac d's, twix extra, snickers duo, 5 380ml bottles of lucozade, 1 500ml bottle of lucozade sport and a big feed of chicken curry with roti when I got home and 2 little bottles of Smirnoff ice
I could work out the calories for everything other than the bananas and the chicken, the chicken was roughly what you would get in a small portion from the curry shop take out and the roti
But that's not a typical days food for me as it varies so so much

Bananas are 80 calories, chicken depends on cooking method and sauce.
Steam or grilled chicken breast is the best, deep fried or BBQ sauce covered chicken is the worst.
As for your lucozade addiction, the only thing that you should drink is water.
The main thing to worry about eating healthy food is by asking 1 question.
Has the food been made in a factory,if it has its not good for you.
Also worth remembering, you can eat whatever bad food you want as long as you burn it off
P.s: mars bar take 20 minutes to burn off on exercise bike.

Yes your diet is shit but you must have a fast metabolism.you are thin but unhealthy.
You would be suprised what a healthy diet would do to your well being but if your happy with your body and have no problems eat what ever you want.
There was a guy I used to work with ,5ft 10 skinny, eat shit all day ( pop, pasties, fish and chips) ,smoked, drank 8 pints a day but to look at him you would think he was healthy.but if he tried doing any exercise,(running ,cycling e.c.t )then he would be blowing out of his arse after 5 minutes.but as his lifestyle didn't involve any exercise he was happy as a pig in shit.

Sounds like you live off sugar and salt with very little substance to your intake tbh.
Personally I find counting calories a load of bollocks unless you are a member of fat finders. It's about what makes those calories up. You have consumed loads of calories in that daily example but you could eat the same amount cleanly and lose fat and gain weight.
Look at Macros and cut out the shit thats bad for you. Salt, sugar, saturated fats, basically most of your diet.
