Default Burning fat?

Ok I have been so busy with growing my business that I have found myself constantly living on mars bars and other shit.

I am at the stage now where I have time to exercise, and I am moving to Cheshire asap but want to slim down first.

Currently I am 6ft 8', a 52" waist !!!! and XXXXL top, I want to be 36" waist and XXL, I weigh 24 stone or thereabouts, at the doctors they told me I am at the limit of their BMI so they can operate on me (wisdom tooth).

Sick of being the ugly fatty and being judged by women purely on looks etc!! The sad fact is women dont care about personality they just care about looks so unless I want to be single my whole life I need to make the effort.

I am not looking for drug use to do this otherwise I would just buy an ounce of speed and work my way through that

I have at my disposal:

Bike - I went and bought a Specialized Crosstrail Pro last year but found I was too unfit to ride it even 100m on the flat.

Concept 2 PM4 rowing machine - Normally do tabata on this, which is 20 secs max output 10 seconds rest, fit people struggle to do this 10 times and I can do it about 3.

Many back lanes and interesting bike trails - I plan to try and walk 3 miles a day to start off with.

I am doing the Scarsdale diet for 2 weeks then I dunno?

When I was around 16 I had the above measurements, 6'3, 36L XXL and I had women gopping all over me... I would love to look like that again!

Can anyone suggest anything else I can do? Bear in mind I cant simply get on a bike and cycle 10 miles a day... personal trainers etc dont seem to understand that no one has the same level of fitness that they do!

At your size and weight I would be asking your doctor for an exercise and eating plan, not lads on a car forum.Good luck and well done in wanting to change.

At that size mate a simple diet and walking will see the weight fall off.the likes of weightwatchers meals would be ideal.plenty to choose from also.could even think about joining your local weightwatchers club but some people don't like to go get weighed etc.set a goal and stick to it.only you can change it and if your not commited then itl just go all back on when you sack it off and start eating shit again.

I have set myself some goals/achievments and treats:

20 stone laser eye surgery - allows me to skydive and study martial arts, the latter should help me drop weight too!

16 stone - I have £12k sitting in the bank which I have earmarked for a clothing allowance, at 16 stone I should be around 38" waist and XXL.

I want to be 16 stone, it will be perfect for my height and build

The only problem I have had before is willpower, I am trying to figure out how to combat that!

Mate there are no doubt some better qualified people than me on here. but I found making food from scratch was a good way to shed some weight as you know what is in it.

I found the hairy dieters book quite useful as it had some good recipes in it.

Good luck!

Eat less exercise more, its not rocket science.

Diet alone (just simple stuff like keep it under a couple thousand calories a day and no sweets and very few carbs) and you will lose half a stone a week when you are that overweight to begin with I would wager.

I had laser eye surgery, best money I've ever spent, stay strong fella and keep the end goal in sight its too easy to have weak moments

check out the Cambridge diet if you want rapid results all you have to do is drink milkshakes, I was loosing a stone a month easy and my first week I lost 9ilbs, be carful though if you loose it too quick you will get saggy skin which in my eyes is bloody awful id rather stay fat

Well at christmas I was 17 stone and I have followed the Fast Diet 5/2 diet. It basically is eating 600 calories 2 days a week and eating normally (not pigging out) the otherdays. I have lost 18lbs and I am now 15 stone 10 I started it on the last week of January and have had a couple of days off it due to being on holiday and my wedding anniversary.

Clearly this has worked for me, but as Mercury Grey Minter has said I would check with your GP first.

Best of Luck and stick at it. I am so happy with the difference it has made to my self esteem and my ability to do more physically.

my diet plan.

breakfast.. porridge oats with pineapple. (no sugar, just plain oats an milk)

mid morning.. cottage cheese or low fat natural yogurt with fresh fruit.

lunch.. chicken breast with salad (as much salad as you want)

dinner.. chicken or red meat with veg ( as much as you want, BUT no potatoes!!)

supper.. baked potato with beans, (no butter)

this is a genuine diet plan, that works, its hard at times, i lost 2stone in 3 months, with exercise .

also to ade weight loss..... first thing in the morning, black coffee(no sugar ) and 30 min walk, there is no need to run, you lose more fat walking, as fat burning is at its best 30mins+ walking

hope this helps

For your walking, try something along the lines of a steady walk for 5mins, brisk walk for 5 and as your stamina builds, increase steadily to running speed whilst reducing the "rest" period.

Swimming is also an excellent full-body workout. Try and introduce other simple exercises as you get fitter.

i started a diet and exercise plan at the start of febuary, Im 6ft and was 16 stone, im now still 6 ft but down to just under 13 stone , ive gone from XXL to L

I couldn't believe how easy it was to loose the weight once I had the willpower, ive tried before for a few years and the diet lasted a day or a week etc, this time I just did it, been in the gym 4/5 times a week and cut out all sweet/bars/crisps/fizzy drinks/ fast food etc etc etc!!

also no bread, no potatoes etc, eating lots of fruit and veg and lean mean, as someone said here already make your food from scratch don't buy and processed shit.

if your will power is there and you stick at it for the first couple of weeks and start to see results youll become addicted and not want to stop!!

best of luck

anythings possible when you put your mind to it

This is my 2 pence worth bud plenty of good advice on here.

I'd suggest fasted morning cardio at steady state i.e walking/cycling on a empty stomach in morning before breakfast 30-45 mins. I've always done it and all the lads I train/train with do it ready for shows/contests ect there on a different level but the same principle applies "burn more fat on a empty stomach"

Also have a protien shake in between meals to keep hunger pangs always protien leaves you fuller for longer.

No carbs after 4-5 in evening. Try to have them earlier in day breakfast and lunch.

Try to do as much cardio as possible start off steady state (easy on your body and gets you back into swing of it) then when you feel fitter start interval training to blitz even more fat.

Also if you can join a gym and do weight training workout youl burn more fat shifting iron for 45 mins than you will in a 60min cardio session plus youl burn fat for much longer after lifting weights.

If your 6ft 8" you could be a right unit! I train with a guy your height and he's 21stone but just pure muscle! I myself am just over 6ft1 and 18stone and I'm now cutting down after winter bulking so I'm using the advice I just give you.

Don't want to sound gay but I'd love to train you in my gym I'd get you massive the girls would be fighting over you!

If you want anymore advice or anything feel free to pm me bud. And good luck keep at it and youl reep the rewards.

Andy

get yourself checked for diabetes..

If a sugar hit stops you shaking you could be suffering from low blood sugar.
