Anyone else have high Cholesterol and use Protein Powder
Hi everyone,
just a bit concerned after getting my bloods checked yesterday. Doc said that my Cholesterol level was far too high therefore need to change diet etc. I've been told that my protein powder contains Cholesterol which could aid the problem.
What I wish to know is, has anyone else faced this issue and can anyone recommend any low Cholesterol protein?
Any help will be deeply appreciated.
Thanks,
Sunny.

Sunny do you feel dizzy alot? Very tired all the time? Whats your cardio like nowadays?
If it was that high the doc would have gave you tabs to lower the levels.Take about 3 weeks before you start to see a change but they do work.My mum's levels were that high the doc was surprised she hadeant had a heart attack already so told her to adjust diet, although she does eat pretty healthy, and also told her to do more excercise i.e cardio work.He gave her tabs and after 2 moths she was almost back to normal and that was with just doing extra walking about each day rather than proper excecise so if you got the tabs you would benefit quicker as you would hit cardio at the gym more

Cheers for the updates fella's.
lead_foot - Funny, I came across and read that same page last night after a good 'ol google search. I used to use all sorts of diffierent protein powders in the past however now stick to PRO-NOS. I am sure its not the protein that has caused it however I just want to make sure that it isnt bad for it as I am having to change alot in terms of diet etc. It's what happens when you travel alot on business. Usual meetings during the day then social dinner and drinks in the evening......has happended almost every evening during the last year or so. Need to put a stop to it. Went back to the gym and cussed myself......lifting heavy is fine however doesnt mean that your fit when your out of breath quickly.
Sned - How you doing matey!
Not really feeling dizzy however must admit do feel tired alot. Cardio is non existant....thats another area I need to pick up on. Went for a jog at 5am last week...only then realised how badly out of shape I am. Need to pick up the socks and do cardio aswell as weights now. How are things with you?

I read something online that raw eggs actually lower cholesterol, something in them stops the body producing it. I'll try and find a link mate....

Sneds - its gonna be horrid. I have cardio but as you said....need to start it. Will do walks in the evening followed by pumping up my bicycle tyres. I am on these 20mg Simvastatin tabs. Hopefully once the cardio kicks in and they start doing their magic things will start to get a bit better.
Kiddie - Thats interesting stuff bro. Cheers.
Godzilla - as per pm fella we're in the same boat. My cholestrol is 10.7! We need to sort this before it turns worse.
...now whats the no for Pizza Hut again?! lol
