Default training to hard bad for you?

just done biceps, triceps and a load of front and side raises today and my triceps are fucking KILLING me, to the point i cant bend my arms all the way. is that bad? should i not be pushing myself that hard? or is it a case of the the more pain im in = more 'damage' done to muscle tissue, which with enough protein will result in bigger/better/more repaired tissue and bigger strength/size gain?

I love that feeling! Its cause your body isn't used to it at the moment as you've had some time off. Within a couple of weeks that same routine will not have anywhere near as much of an effect and you will be pushing harder to get it.

I would say its a good thing!

too much trianing can have negative affects on building, damaging the muscle is good as long as you give it the nutrients and rest to recover, training a muscle that has not had time to recover will result in your muscle not growin to its full potential or an injury which will set you back, and please will everyone stop with the roids is the answer, seriously people who take roids without years of training really havent a clue,as said above wait till you plautea then consider them,do a lot of research into it as is the side affects really worth it when you can eat your way to a bigger body

if you take suppliments, eat right, train right, then you won't need steroids.

just the lazy way of building up.
